The NALS Award of Excellence is the top honor a member can receive from NALS. Formerly called the Legal Secretary of the Year, this award's name was changed in the 1990s to better reflect the membership of NALS and to be more inclusive of those being honored. 

NALS of Arizona also awards an annual Award of Excellence to one of its local members for excellence in his/her profession, in their NALS contributions and for their service to the legal community.

Please consider making a nomination for a member who you feel is deserving of this most prestigious award.  When considering your nominations, please refer to the Award of Excellence Rules and Regulations and the following list of previous recipients of this award.

All nominees will be required to complete the application and submit it to the Award of Excellence chairperson no later than February 15, 2012.  Please make your nominations in a timely manner so as to give the nominees sufficient time to complete and submit their respective application forms before the February 15, 2012 deadline.  Each member who is nominated and meets the qualifications outlined in the Award of Excellence Rules and Regulations will be contacted by the chairperson and provided an application form.
