This is an exciting time of year for our state chapter! With the changing of the guard just right around the corner, I would like you to take a moment to reflect on what ripples you have started this year. Have those ripples progressed into the waves that you set out to make? Some goals can be achieved in very little time, such as inviting someone to your monthly education meeting, while other goals may take years to achieve, such as educational and career related goals.

I’ve been reflecting on the past 12 months and have found myself asking what goals did I meet this year and what goals do I want to carry forward into 2012?  One of my goals was to focus more energy towards what is important in my life; to stop wasting my time on things that just don’t matter in the long run.  After putting our families, homes and jobs first, I know that we have very little resources and energy left to commit to our other passions.  I am proud that NALS is a passion that I chose to devote precious energy to.

Greetings from Prescott! The Arizona summer is upon us and it is getting hot around the state! I just can’t believe that my first three months as your State President is almost over. It seems that these past few months have really flown by. As I’m writing to you, I’ve been reflecting on what goals I’ve set and what steps I’ve made so far to reach those goals. My theme this year is Make a Ripple, Make a Wave. Have you started your ripple? Have you invited your coworker or a fellow legal professional to a local meeting? Have you sat with a guest at your local meeting to make introductions and help them feel comfortable? Take these small steps and share your passion for NALS!

You can also make your ripple in your community.
